My Experience with IBM Daksh For Virgin Media(Outsourced) as a Faults Agent in FMC Part 1

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

It all started in Last week – Oct 2009, when some i had some conflicts with my folks at home due to personal reason. The things were really out of hands, i left home that night and did not return for 2 days. When i reached back home i decided to look for a job to keep my mind off things and keep me occupied. Our Neighbor’s daughter (One of a kind Slut) said “I can refer you to IBM Daksh where i am working these day” and i agreed, she joined IBM daksh because she had been kicked out of her previous company for forging with the Certificates she had.

Any way getting back to the topic, So i agreed and went to IBM Daksh, Floor – 9, UCP Tower -B, Sector- 39, Gurgaon, Haryana. Carrying just Rs.68 in my pocket to go about 30 Kms. It took me about 2 hrs to reach there. There i met Abhishek Bhardwaj (HR – Referrals). Some more people where there for interviews, i started interacting, some of them became my friends, Saakshi Sharma, Lata (we called her reet), Lokesh (with his sister, and friend). All of them became my friends, still remembering them today as well. The interviews were still going on and it was almost 15:00 hrs, boy was i hungry. But i did not let it show on my face. most of them went for the lunch that day, but I did not.  The interviews went on, and it was about 19:45 hrs, boy it was late for me to reach home.  finally all my interview rounds were done. I they told me to reach 444, Udhyog Vihar-V, Gurgaon the next day. But i was wondering in my mind “HOW TO REACH HOME, IN THE FIRST PLACE?”. Any was i head out to reach home, Lokesh offered me a half way lift since he came by bike.  he dropped my near airport NH-8. From there it was a 1/2 km walk towards Mahipalpur as i planned to catch a bus from there; but boy was i WRONG! I waited there for 2 hrs and just as i got lucky, i noticed the that the time for last bus had come and gone.  I had to walk all the to home (Khirki Village, Malviya Nagar) from Mahipalpur. It was damn exhausting(somehow i made it). Next day i went to 444 address i mentioned above (carrying about Rs.150 this time). When i reached there, i met saakshi, reet again. Reet was again with  her father. Me and Saakshi had a coffee together. the rounds went by and the day was also coming to end.

Finally one by one we were called to negotiate salaries, after the negotiation it was time to close the deal with the paper work. As my old habbit, the papers they gave me the papers i started reading them. The guy said that these are just formalities so you just need to sign them, but i insisted to read them first. As i started to read them i discovered that the were making me sign a 1 year contract. In short. Company will keep me on per year contract basis, my salary can not exceed more than Rs. 14000, i cannot get promoted, and other things bounding me to be just a working meat. The moment i realized it i refused to sign it, they asked why? i answered well i am not going to let my self be a slave to the company. Finally the approval came for me to hire me as a regular employee. Papers were signed to close the deal and day ended and i started to find my way home again, but this time it was easy.

To Be Continued…

We should not forget what happenned in 1984 – Article by Jarnail Singh

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Right now I am going through a little rough time. My employers are in process to terminate my services. my PIB card of journalism is seized. not worried, support of gursikhs giving me strength. parmatma sahayee hai and these hurdles are nothing. As of now i would be more comfortable in replying to others queries.

“Khalsa ji, We should not forget what happenned in 1984. It was third ghallughara against sikhs. I am not in favour to misguide our youth to wrong path but at the same time we need to learn lessons from it. we remember our shaheeds every day in our ardaas. Sikhs have always fought against injustice, not able to understand how Prime Minister is asking us to forget the massacre. Would he or his party can ask muslims to forget gujrat riots?  if not then why asking us. I don’t consider myself as a second grade citizen. Only coward sikhs can forget this massacre.” Guru Nanak Sahib said ‘je jeeve pat lathi jaaye sab haraam jeta kich khaye.’ and guru tegh bahadur sahib said ‘bhay kahoo ko det nahin nanh bhay manat aan’. If we dont follow the path of our gurus then nothing would left in sikhi. We need to live with honour.
