Sheila Dixit giving Thumbs upDelhi Metro’s Central Secretariat-Qutub Minar corridor was inaugurated on Friday facilitating a smooth ride for lakhs of commuters in south Delhi. This is the longest line of the Delhi Metro spanning 45 kilometres, connecting north Delhi to Gurgaon.

The 12.53-kilometre corridor is integrated with the Qutub Minar-HUDA City Centre line and both, ultimately is integrated with the Central Secretariat-Jehangirpuri line.

Union Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy had inaugurated the corridor and flag-off the first train from the Udyog Bhawan Metro station in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. The line was opend to the public from 3 p.m.

The new line will provide lakhs of south Delhi residents a comfortable journey they had been waiting for. The entire line running from Jehangirpuri-Huda City Centre in Gurgaon consists of 25 kilometres of underground tunnels and stations apart from 20 kilometres of elevated Metro section

covering a total distance of 45 kilometres in 80 minutes.

There are 34 stations on this line out of which 20 of the stations are underground while 14 are elevated,  DMRC plans to run 36 to 40 trains on this line. Once the new line became operational, it took less than an hour for commuters to reach the Millennium City of Gurgaon from Connaught Place as compared to at least 90 minutes by road.

The entire 45 kilometres from Jehangirpuri to Gurgaon is covered in just over 80 minutes. The line was scheduled to open by the end of August. This was the second line where the DMRC will miss its originally-set deadline. Earlier, the Metro had missed the deadline on the Yamuna Bank-Noida line.

Delhi Metro InnaugrationThe Central Secretariat-HUDA City Centre line, built at a total cost of Rs. 3,720 crore, is expected to add over 3.4 lakh people to the Metro system by 2011. Now, the DMRC has only two lines to complete before the Commonwealth Games in October. They are Central Secretariat-Badarpur and New Delhi-Airport Express Lines.
Even after the successful testing of the new line. There was some technical difficulties, which halted delhi metro for at least 20 minutes. Sources said:

“I think 2 of the metros were sent back to Central Secretariat, because
of the technical difficulties, this train has been halted at
Green Park Metro Station for 20 minutes now!”

Even I boarded that train ti seed to crawl at a very low speed towards Hauz Khas Metro Station, after that it was business as usual.

The new under ground stations of delhi metro truly reflect the global standard and feeling of standing in an world class location.

A Kashmiri separatist leader burning the Indian Flag

Indian Flag Burnt in Srinagar

Shame on Indian govt and Media also for not making it Breaking News

The only country of the world, where one can dare to burn the national flag…

All these become the masala
breaking news of Indian news channels:

  • If Tendulkar cuts the cake which is made to look like national flag, he is condemned.
  • If Mandira Bedi wears a saree with the flags of all the countries being portrayed on that, is made to apologies.
  • If one cop in Kolkata and one in Bangalore is terminated of his duties for throwing the Indian national flag on ground, by mistake.

Then why double standards:

  • During the ongoing Amarnath Sangarsh, Jammuites holding the Indian National Flag and chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ are open fired by the J&K Police on orders from the  Police Commissioner(belongs to kashmir). Peaceful protesters are killed.
  • Like in case of Amarnath case, people in Kashmir when want to get some demand fulfilled, protest by burning Indian national Flag, hosting Pakistani Flag and chanting ‘Hindustan Murdabad, Pakistan Jindabad’. But no body condemns. Infact, all such protest are followed by a team of union ministers visiting Kashmir and immediately sanctioning a few thousand crore rupees for Kashmiris.
  • Every year on 14th Aug (Pakistani Indipendence Day), Pakistani flag is hosted every where in Kashmir, including the govt. buildings and on 15th Aug, same people burn the Indian flag.

This only happens in India!!!!

Just See The Images Below…

Really shame on Indian media
