Your time is the most important contribution for our tigers. If you think you have the skills or the commitment to help the tigers on-site, do contact an NGO working for tiger conservation to volunteer for our tigers.
Visit tiger sanctuaries and national parks and discover our country’s natural heritage. But please remember that the wilderness is to be experienced, not to be polluted by packets of chips, etc.
The Tiger is one beast that has long symbolized India. Down the ages India to the west meant the land of tigers and it is ironic that we as a nation in the 21st century are struggling to save the last 1411 tigers left in our country. Blame it on our incapacity to save the beautiful and glorious beast or should we say insensitivity to the plight of the animal that has inhabited Indian jungles for centuries that today we are faced with a situation marked by the dwindling number of tigers. If we don’t wake up to the need to preserve this species and turn a blind eye to the fact that they are a dying breed then the Tiger will join the annals of history as an extinct animal like many others before. Lets all join our hands and do our bit to educate our fellow Indians and inject life into this dying breed and reinforce the supremacy of the Lord of the Jungle.
